Scott Ageloff

Inspired by frequent trips to nearby Newport and New York City to visit family, Scott’s appreciation of art, architecture and design began at an early age.  Scott captured his constant observations of natural and built environments by drawing, and gravitated to a career in architecture. Following graduate studies in architecture at Yale University and extensive travels, including a year working in Asia, Scott settled in New York with its rich culture and prominence as a creative center for art and design.

After a decade of practice, Scott established Ageloff & Associates. Thirty years later, he has become a leader in interior design education and in the integration of design and architecture. He claims that his greatest gift is when a client expresses sincere appreciation for the impact that he and the Ageloff & Associates team have made on their lives.

Erin Wells

A love of dance, history, culture, and art proved to be the perfect amalgamation of interests to propel Erin into a career in design.  Much of her explorations in these fields have involved travel. She finds that seeing how beauty is expressed and explored in different parts of the world is mind-opening. From historical symbolism in design motifs to discovering how art is created using indigenous materials, travel is a tactile and sensory experience for Erin.

Erin joined Ageloff & Associates in 2002. Collaboration is a favorite part of the design process for her, both with fellow team members as well as clients. She believes that good design connects creativity with functionality and that bringing multiple points of view to a project ensures that both are achieved.

Reid Betz

Working with clients to transform their lives for the better is just one exciting aspect of architecture and design for Reid. He joined Ageloff & Associates in 2003 with degrees in architecture and civil engineering and contributes a passion for design excellence, craft and technical knowledge to develop buildable solutions. Reid is an avid kayaker and often turns to the water for inspiration. From the vantage point of New York’s waterways, he appreciates the balance between built and natural environments, indoor spaces and the open air, and the need for calm oases amidst the city’s creative bustle.

Reid has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2001 and works to incorporate the responsible use of energy and resources into project designs. As a part-time professor and student mentor, Reid enjoys guiding the next generation of designers on design and sustainability.
